About

New to flower farming, setting up during 2026 so I may or may not have stems to sell! I've been a gardener since the age of 17, studied garden design at Pershore Horticultural College, qualifying in 2004. I've worked across various aspects of Horticulture over the past 22 years, I've run my own design & maintenance business, volunteered as leader for a community permaculture garden, trained as a woodsman's apprentice, managed coppices (hazel, sweet chestnut & willow), managed ancient orchards, trained in basket weaving for 3 years, studied Ethnobotany, taught various aspects of gardening, plant identity workshops, design etc. I worked as woodland leader for Small Woods Association for their social forestry projects, focussing on wellbeing. While working as a head gardener for a 5 star hotel I was asked if I knew any florists who could do weekly displays for the hotel. I gave it a go & fell back in love with flowers! I used a local flower farm for all the florals (shout out to Robbie & Rich at Gwanas Fawr) & anything I could find in the grounds of the hotel to create seasonal reception hall displays & 14 individual posies for the Michelin star restaurant every week. I used dried flowers from November to March, changing these on a monthly basis. The dry displays were very structural, with more technical sculptural forms. These displays attracted the attention of various wedding planners, so I did a few for the hotel & elsewhere. Now I have relocated to Cheshire, I am starting my new journey on my own farm & seeing where it takes me!
