ABOUT ME & MY WORK Hello, my name is Francesca. I run British Blooms an Artisan Flower Farm & Florist business situated in Dickleburgh, Diss within the picturesque Waveney Valley. Growing flowers on my family meadow, I provide eco-funeral flowers, wedding flowers, event flowers, gift bouquets and seasonal bunches including a flower subscription service to local customers. Throughout the year I offer both private and public workshops including corporate workshops teaching and guiding folk in sustainable floristry design and enabling creative exploration with locally grown British blooms. Workshops I provide include wreath making, flower crown making, and hand-tied bouquet making, vase arrangement making. My floristry captures the natural beauty of seasonal flowers, working in harmony with nature and our island's natural beauty and I specialise in British-grown flowers, choosing to grow beautiful and blousy English country garden flowers with a touch of the delicate and wonderfully wild . From March-September I use my homegrown flowers, hand-picked from my flower farm in my work. Out of the British growing season, I work with other British flower growers particularly in the south to support my flower offer. HOW I GROW & MY PRINCIPLES Sustainability is at the heart of my Flower Farming and Florist business. I believe local, seasonal flowers are superior to imported flowers due to their quality, freshness, and provenance. British-grown blooms are not flown into our country, rather they are grown here in our native soil, reducing our carbon footprint and in turn, our impact on the planet. MY CUSTOMERS I grow my flowers mainly for bridal couples in cut flower buckets, ready to wear wedding flowers and bespoke venue work, to be used in farewell arrangement, to be used in my workshops, in gift bouquets, and in my flower subscription. I work with a small number of florists providing high-quality British flowers and supply bouquets and bunches to farm shops and cafes locally. Our 2025 & 2026 Wedding flower diary is open! I limit our wedding flower commitments to one bespoke bridal couple a week therefore spaces are limited. I offer DIY options for bridal couples such as DIY Cut Flower Buckets of British Blooms and I can make your personal flowers (bridal bouquet, buttonholes and hair flowers) to match the colours/flowers in your bucket.
