This workshop is suitable for complete beginners but will also benefit gardeners with some horticultural experience. We will explore the many methods I have tried and I will advise you on the benefits of each. You will go home with seed trays and cuttings ready to burst into life. \nTopics covered include:\nsetting up your propagation area \nsowing seeds at the right times to ensure good germination and healthy growth \npricking out \nhardening off \ndealing with pests and diseases \ntaking cuttings \nAs always\, there will be plenty of time to ask questions\, explore the cutting garden at this early stage in the year and enjoy freshly made cake\, tea and coffee.

DESCRIPTION:Come and join a guided tour of the flower farm\, included the propagation and floristry areas. We will go around the beds and through the poly tunnels to see how the flowers are grown and cared for. In September the field will be full of dahlias\, amaranthus\, sunflowers\, cosmos and a lot of flowers and seed heads that I grow to dry too. The tour will finish in the floral studio where the flowers are dried and stored. The flower farm is also open for H Art week so there will be artists on site who create using dried flowers and calligraphy\, pottery and wood.
